The Tour of Ulster is recognised as the North's premier elite cycling stage race, attracting well respected elite riders from throughout Ireland and beyond.
Taking place in early May each year, the race is an ideal start to the core of the cycling season for top racing cyclists.
The three-day event generally includes three road stages and a time trial, around the Province's stunning backdrop.
Well established - the Tour of Ulster has been running since 1956. It is organised each year by the Ulster Cycle Promotions Club (UCPC), a voluntary group of cycle racing enthusiasts which seeks to promote a high quality, professionally managed competition for top cyclists.
Previous participants and winners include Mark Cavendish, currently the fastest sprinter in the world and Tour de France superstar; David McCann, who has achieved high placings in the World Time Trial Championships; and Mark Scanlon, former Junior World Cycling Champion.
Past sponsors of the Tour of Ulster include Allied Irish Bank, The Dairy Council for Northern Ireland, Sport NI and the Omagh Sports Forum.
